A friendly rural trout fishery and lodge open to all

Follow us on

Brick Farm Lakes is one of the leading trout fisheries in the country. Our approach is simple, keep prices affordable and keep the lakes very well stocked with quality fish.

Brick Farm Lakes is run by Keith and Sophie Curtis, their three children and Waffles the friendly black Labrador.

We have two lakes with a third planned. Well Lake is the smaller top lake and Brick Lake the larger bottom lake. Our lakes are stocked at 200 fish per acre rising in the summer months when fishing becomes harder. The current records stand at 20lbs (brown) and 18lbs 6ozs (rainbow).

We opened a new lodge café in Summer 2011 serving delicious home made food and drink in a charming oak frame timber lodge set next to one of the lakes.

There is a road to both lakes and the lodge with parking next to each.

We are open all day every day of the year including Christmas Day.

We are very keen to encourage juniors and novices into the sport. In support of this we allow them to fish on their guardians ticket. In particular this allows parents to avoid the unnecessary expense of multiple tickets and encourages learners who may struggle to catch their fish until more proficient.

We are very excited about running Brick Farm Lakes trout fishery and will continue to improve the facilities and environment without detracting from its beautiful rural character.

We look forwards to meeting you soon.

“I would just like to say a big thank you for providing a brilliant venue. I have just started fly fishing and as I live in the local area you were my first fishery. I decided for a 3 fish ticket and after 1 hour I was pleased to land my first trout, which was a good 2lb 6oz.

As I am a novice I was finding it rather difficult, no knowledge of which flies to use was a big issue, and I was pleased that the other gentlemen around were only to pleased to offer some advice. as was Sophie as she was walking around. After taking her advise I found I was pulling in a 2lb 10oz trout, followed by a smaller 2lb.

After such a good day, minus the sun burnt arms, I was driving home with a smile on my face and a story of my day, which I think started to annoy my family after the 15th time. as I had such a good day I returned the next day and got a 2 fish ticket. I met my limit within 1 hour and pulled in another 2lb 6oz trout. I did managed to get a much larger trout, but as is the old story of many fishermen it got away.

I am planning to visit Brick Farm every Friday now as you have made the area and visit a wonderful experience.

Kind regards
RJ”
